McAninch Student Athlete – Carlie Littlefield, Waukee

After leading her team to the state championship as a sophomore, Carlie Littlefield looks to take her game to another level as an upperclassman. Littlefield has been known as a leader for Waukee squad, starting as a freshman and putting up double digit points.

This year Littlefield is averaging 21 points per game on 57% shooting, including 55% of 3s and 83% from the free throw line while averaging 5.3 assists per game. The Warriors are off to a 4-0 start and are ranked #1 in Class 5A by the IGHSAU.

This week, we are saluting Carlie Littlefield as a our McAninch Student Athlete of the Week. Off the basketball court, Littlefield puts time in many different areas. In the classroom she has a 4.27 GPA, which is in the top 2% of her class. She is also on the Honor Roll and is an Athletic Academic Award Winner.

Littlefield also volunteers her time during Vacation Bible School, at the Animal Rescue League and with Silver Cord. She is also involved in Silver Cord, is part of the Ignition Prayer Group, is on the Waukee Student Activity Council and is a Waukee Sportsmanship Ambassador.
